How do I record TV to the
video iPod?
Use
your iPod as a VCR/DVR
If you have a video iPod and want to watch your favorite TV show on
your iPod, you don't have to download the show. Why not? Because you
can digitally record TV programming directly to your iPod using a
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR card and its
Wing software. The Wing software costs $24.95 and the card
itself $99.
Recording programs using Wing will typically take about twice as
long as the show. For example, an hour long show of American Idol
would take about two hours to record. Is this legal? The Wing
software is designed for personal use only. So, it’s still like the
old days when you used your VCR to record and watch TV.
Try it yourself! The
Wing software works with all models of the
WinTV-PVR , including
the
WinTV-PVR-150,
WinTV-PVR-250 ,
WinTV-PVR-350 , and
WinTV PVR-USB2.
